The Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock

For a wonderful brunch we highly recommend The Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock.  The food is delicious and reasonably priced, but tables are on a first come first served basis so arrive early to avoid disappointment and check on opening hours as these vary according to the time of year.  We combine a yummy lunch with coastal walk along one of the many nearby footpaths or stroll on the beach.

Holiday Cottage – Guest Review – “Great Location and Home Comforts”

Holiday Cottage View of Lulworth, Dorset

Just got back from 5 days in Weymouth where we stayed in a little village called Upwey.

The cottage we stayed in was perfect for me, my partner and our dog in a very quiet position in the village. The property backed onto a field which was ideal for those early morning walks with the dog. Cottage was very well furnished, more like home from home. Location was great as it was within easy reach of the many attractions Dorset has to offer. The garden was lovely to sit in and soak up the early evening sun, BBQ and garden furniture are provided which is an added plus.

A must is the walk from the National Trust Car Park at Ringstead across the cliffs on the coast path up to the Coastguards cottages, stunning views. Lulworth Cove another lovely place although a little too overcrowded for our liking, although that said, it is a superb place for children to go fossil finding’.
