Dear Samantha,
We just would like to say that we loved your cottage, it was so comfortable and homely and perfect for us as we have friends with a holiday home just around the corner.
Hope to be able to stay again soon.
Best wishes

Portland Castle – English Heritage Site in Dorset
Visit Portland Castle, built by Henry VIII to protect the South coast. You can see the Tudor kitchens and get a real for the castle’s history.
You can sample a wide selection of Tudor instruments and watch interesting reenactments.

We have now visited The Hix Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis.
There are lots of things to see and do in Lyme as well as splashing out on a delicious meal!

Holiday Cottage – Review – “Great Base for Exploring Dorset”
“Cottage really suited us – thanks. Great base for exploring lovely Dorset and the weather has been kind!”
Holiday Cottage – Review – “We Had a Great Time”
“Thank you Samantha for the use of Upwey Cottage. We had a great time here.”
Holiday Cottage – Guest Review – “Fabulous little cottage – full of character”
“Upwey Cottage is a great little getaway, easy to travel to but tucked away down a very quiet unmade cul de sac. The owners have furnished it well and it has everything you might need including a box full of toys for young children, a well stocked bookshelf and a good wifi connection. The location is excellent, it’s a short walk or drive to practically everything you could think of – paper shop, chippy, supermarket etc. There is a lovely view across the fields from the kitchen window.”
Holiday Cottage – Guest Review – “The most idyllic holiday cottage”
“This is the second time that I have visited this gorgeous cottage. It is compact but has everything you could need for a short break. The garden is sweet and my children aged 11 and 6, love the cottage and found plenty to do in the area and have already requested to go again.
Even washing up is a pleasure here – when you look out the window at the calm, rural view.
Thoroughly recommend it”
Holiday Cottage – Guest Review – “View Changing with the Autumn Colours”
“Thank you so much for the use of your lovely cottage, it is in a perfect location for visiting all parts of Dorset, the first week we went to Dorchester, Lyme Regis, Bournemouth and Poole we also found the lovely village of Upwey with the Wishing Well tea rooms, which we revisited the second week, and sat in the lovely water garden.
It was a real bonus having the lovely weather that week, as we caught the local bus to Kings Statue and spent each day walking, along the promenade, harbour, and Greenhill gardens, we played putting 2 mornings, and walked to Wyke Regis and Portland Bill, again Chesil Beach is beautiful. We have quite fallen in love with Weymouth and found the locals very friendly.
We also appreciated the comfy sofa, and bed after a lot of walking, your pictures nearly came home with me.
The view from the back windows was gradually changing with the autumn colours.”
